Inn Activities
The Inn at Kulaniapia is situated on the powerful Waiau River, the main tributary of the Wailuku River, the largest river on the Island.
"Kulaniapia" (heavenly strength) is the ancient Hawaiian name given to this waterfall, and when you see it, you will understand why. In addition to our namesake watefall, we have three more tiered waterfalls that cascade in our Bamboo Garden area.
There are barbedue facilities here for our guests to enjoy and approximately two miles of hiking trails. Swimming is allowed at the pond at the base of Kulaniapia during times of low to moderate river flow, and is assessed on a daily basis.
The Bamboo garden is a work in progess consisting mostly of different varieties of Bamboo and Heliconia. This is an area that will grow and change, maturing over the years to come.
The Bamboo Garden area, lower falls and swiimming pond are available to our Guests from Sunrise to Sunset. |
